As a third-generation family-owned company, the health and safety of our workers and customers is at the forefront of everything we do at Holmes Electric. We are committed to ensuring a safe working environment for all, for all of our employees, no matter what task they may be faced with. We include safety in every facet of every project, from the early phases of preconstruction to project commissioning and closeout.

How We Keep People Safe:

  • Safety is a value; we empower every person on our team to be a part of the safety process
  • We encourage employees to speak up and contribute to safe practices and stop any process at any time for a safety review
  • Provide a safe environment which includes clean work and break areas, adequate lighting, clean drinking water and hand washing stations
  • Comprehensive written safety program
  • All employees are drug test upon hire and randomly thereafter
  • Standard Required PPE
    • Cut-resistant gloves, hard hats, glasses, earplugs, high visibility vests, boots
  • Additional PPE & Equipment – task-specific
    • ARC flash protection clothing, confined space equipment, personal fall protection equipment, tool tethering
  • All work is preplanned with the use of Daily Pre-Task Planner
  • Weekly site safety inspections
  • Utilization of a 3rd party first aid service to evaluate all work related injuries and provide quality care in a timely fashion
  • Training – certifications for lifts, ladders, fall protection, OSHA 10 and 30, new hire and site specific safety orientations and first aid/CPR/defibrillator
  • Written method of operations for all tasks that occur in various critical environments to ensure safety and continuity of services
