Job Description

Holmes Electric is actively seeking a Project Engineer. This role is for candidates who demonstrate a strong desire for a career in Project Management, Electrical Engineering or Construction Management.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist Project Manager and/or Group Leader in the planning, management direction, project completion, satisfaction, financial outcome of assigned construction projects and achieve departmental goals.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

• Initiate Billing Reference Sheet
• Jobsite office setup/removal
• On-site assistance, as needed
• Permit application/arrange permit inspections
• Maintain and administer project documentation
  • Maintain appropriate platforms
  • Update drawings
• Project meetings
• Coordinate project submittals and shop drawings
• Review job specifications
• Procurement, tracking and invoice approval
• Maintaining project schedules
• Project closeout documentation
  • Panel schedules
  • O&M’s
  • Warranty letters
  • Archiving
• Assist Field Electricians
• Price and process Change Orders
• Assist with contract billing
• Cost tracking vs budget
• WP assistance
• Developing and administration of purchase orders
• Assisting in Project Commissioning and Owner required training
• Assist with writing and administering contracts
• Perform other tasks as requested by management
• General administrative assistance
• Assist Estimating

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 1+ years of experience in the construction process of commercial electrical operations or general construction experience preferred.
• Must be able to read blueprints and drawings
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel/Word) and Bluebeam
• Accubid Change Order Pro experience preferred but not required

STATUS

Non-Exempt

PAY RANGE

$55,000 – $85,000 annually. Actual compensation within the listed range is dependent upon experience, qualifications, and performance.
